As this is a on day event entries are limited and will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. The Audience Dance Rivalry reserves the right to extend the start time. Late entries will be charged a 100.00 surcharge per routine.

This is an open dance competition event. Dancers may compete in any discipline, which may include: ballet, pointe, tap, Jazz, Funk, Acrobatics, Hip hop, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Ballroom, Latin, Folk, and Open.
There will be a single professional judge that award each dance with a mark out of 100. The breakdown is as follows:
50% Technique, 25% Choreography, 25% Presentation
Please Note there will be no video judge or critique tapes. The comments and marks will be emailed to you no later than 1 week after the event.
At the end of the event the highest scoring routines of each age division Mini-Pro will be announced and will have the opportunity to dance again and compete in our end of day Rivalry where the audience will determine the outcome and winner of the event by voting on their smart phones. This includes all categories.
Each dance/ dancer will be recognized for their achievements and presented with an award based on their score:
85 – 90, 90 – 95 and 95 – 100.
The winner of the Rivalry (which includes any age and category) shall be awarded a cash prize of $1000.00 and our Standing Ovation Award. (amount based on 100 entries, subject to change)
All persons who wish to enter the theatre and watch the competition /fund-raiser are required to purchase a ticket. Proceeds from the tickets will be donated to support mental health programs for Canadian youth through Speak the Silence. Competitors are welcome to watch the competition free, providing there are seats.
Videotaping and non-flash photography is permitted during the event.
Please send you edited music to email@example.com at least 1 week prior. Please bring a backup copy of your music in case of technical issues.
Each competitor is required to sign a waiver. Waivers may be handed in the day of the event.
